Mobile Water Treatment System

IAI’s Mobile Water Treatment System was designed to meet the needs of mechanical dredging projects. The Mobile Water Treatment System is a complete water treatment plant, enclosed in two 52 foot trailers, and features quick-disconnect hoses for fast set-up. The system provides 150 – 200 gallons per minute (gpm) capacity. Additional treatment units may be added, if needed, to increase system capacity.

The Mobile Water Treatment System is well suited to small volume environmental dredging or groundwater remediation projects, and can be quickly installed on a variety of sites to treat elutriate, filtrate, or process water. The system has a small footprint and is self-contained. There are very little associated design or capital costs.

Treatment Processes

The Mobile Water Treatment System includes an inclined plate separator, sand filters, bag filters and granular activated carbon (GAC) vessels, as well as pumps, hoses and ancillary tanks. This system has been successfully used to treat contaminants such as:

Suspended solids
Dissolved metals
Poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
Oil and grease

Additional treatment processes and units may be incorporated into the Mobile Water Treatment System in order to address a specific contaminant or achieve a higher level of treatment. Treatment processes that have been added successfully to the mobile WTP in the past include:

Oil-water separators
Organo clay filter
Additional bag filters

Certified Operator

IAI provides experienced water treatment operators to run the Mobile Water Treatment System, under the direction of a lead operator, who possesses certifications as required for each individual project. We have many certified operators on staff, with multiple licenses, in several states, and we are confident we can provide a certified operator to meet the needs of your project. IAI also provides compliance monitoring, sampling and analysis, NPDES permit application, and discharge reporting services.
